Certification, order, and card are not the same thing

Florida patients often talk about being approved, certified, renewed, or active as if those words mean one status. In practice, the physician certification, the state registry card, the route order, and the dispensary checkout view can each matter.

The OMMU physician page says qualified physicians enter orders into the registry, update changes, and may not order more than a 70-day supply of low-THC cannabis or medical marijuana for a patient. Patients should ask the clinic how those entries apply to their own routes and dates.

When something does not show at checkout

Ask the dispensary what it can see: active patient status, route availability, order timing, previous purchases, or a product-route mismatch. That tells you whether the next call should be to the clinic, the registry, or the store.

If the clinic says an update was made, ask when it should be visible and what route category changed. Do not assume a product is available just because the appointment is complete.

Useful questions for the physician clinic

Ask which routes were discussed, what renewal or recertification date matters next, whether any order changes were entered, and who to contact if the registry view does not match what the clinic expected.

Keep product advice separate from deal advice. A clinic can explain the certification and order side; the dispensary can explain live menu availability, product labels, final terms, and checkout mechanics.
