The approved-location total increased by two from the prior weekly snapshot, from 776 to 778. OMMU reported two new dispensing-location approvals during August 21 through 27. The active-card count increased by 477, from 939,639 to 940,116.

That one-week difference is a descriptive registry count, not proof of why the number changed or how many people shopped. It also does not show whether a particular city gained access, whether a storefront opened, or whether an operator's current hours and services changed.

New City-Level Approvals

The August 28 report names two dispensing locations approved during August 21 through 27:

• Curaleaf in Miami.
• Wildflower in Jacksonville Beach.

These are state-approved locations, not confirmed openings. The weekly report identifies the operator and city but does not provide a street address, opening date, hours, or menu for these approvals. Do not assume that an existing location in the same city is the newly approved store. Verify the exact address and opening status against the current OMMU location list and the operator's official website before traveling.

What Is an MMTC?

MMTC means Medical Marijuana Treatment Center. In Florida, licensed MMTCs cultivate, process, and dispense medical marijuana under the state program. The storefronts patients call dispensaries are dispensing locations operated by those licensed organizations.

An address appearing on the official OMMU list helps confirm that it belongs to an approved operator. It does not tell you whether a particular product is in stock, whether delivery reaches your address, or whether the store is open at this moment.

How to Verify a Florida Dispensary

Use this three-part check before visiting:

1. Confirm the location. Search the current OMMU Medical Marijuana Treatment Centers list for the operator, address, city, and county.

2. Check the operator. Open the MMTC's own location page to confirm opening status, hours, phone number, accessibility information, pickup, and delivery.

Use location and deal information as two separate checks:

Can Patients Use Any Licensed MMTC?
